Making a Difference With Your Gift

The Itasca Community College Foundation works with our generous donors to make sure their gifts are used as directed. We make sure your donation goes where you feel it will make the biggest impact!

Annual Fund

Every year, ICC staff, alumni, and friends support the Foundation’s Annual Fund. Donors can choose to support scholarships for freshmen and sophomores, and/or for a designated program.

Endowments

Endowments are special funds in which the gift is permanently restricted and only the earnings are used to fund scholarships, program needs, or special projects. An endowment can be established with a minimum gift of $25,000, which can be paid over a period of 5 years.

Memorials and Honorary Gifts

Memorial and Honorary Gifts allow contributors to recognize loved ones in a special way. Memorial gifts are made in memory of family members, friends, or colleagues who have passed away. Honorary gifts offer an opportunity to acknowledge a special occasion for a friend, family member, colleague, teammate, or anyone else you wish to acknowledge.

Endowments, scholarships, and equipment purchases are only a few of the many memorial and honorary gift opportunities available to donors. When such gifts are made, a special notification is sent the family or the individual.

Naming Opportunities

Significant philanthropic gifts can result in the opportunity to name facilities, facility components, and other entities or programs.

Program Support

Gifts to support specific academic programs, the library, and athletics provide the groundwork for our ongoing efforts. These gifts are always cherished.

Scholarships

Scholarships play a significant role in helping students afford college.

  • Annual scholarship – Gifts provide awards for both full- and part-time students. A minimum gift of $500 is necessary to establish a named scholarship. The donor can name the scholarship and determine the criteria upon which the award is made. The contribution can be a one-time gift or can recur every year, as the donor wishes.
  • General Scholarship Fund – In this the fund, smaller gifts are combined to make a big difference for the students who receive the awards.
  • Best Start Scholarship Fund Drive – During the Foundation’s annual scholarship fund drive, generous Pacesetter Donors provide the inspiration for others to participate by providing matching funds.
  • Endowed Scholarships – Endowments are special funds in which the gift is permanently restricted and only the earnings are used to fund scholarships. An endowment can be established with a minimum gift of $10,000, which can be paid over a period of 5 years.
